Yep, back from the dead. I am convinced no one reads this so I’ll go on to say whatever the fuck I want.
Yes blog, a lot has changed since my last post a few years ago. I actually possess something we call direction as I’m studying at University. (Oooooh I hear you say). Direction, when referring to life, is really an abstract term in my eyes, just like the number zero, It tells us what’s not there; something intangibly conceptual in its own existence, or non existance, used by the masses as a definition for the belief a university degree equates to direction. (Sometimes I hope the masses are right).
Mummy and Daddy don’t set you up with ideals for the string of relationship breakdowns, promotions/demotions, marital affairs, miscarriages, early deaths of friends, car breakdowns, house fires..I’m not sure where that’s going but my point of venting lies in the concept of ideals. They’re just ideas, not commandments.
I think I prefer being destination-less. But I will walk when the green man tells me to.
On lighter topics, I’ll allocate space to my most recent possession addition: The iPhone.
There’s millions of reviews, photos, apps and info on the web because let’s face it…everyone has one or wants one!
Even the “homeless” people on the corner have one.
I’ll tell you the truth though. These apps are the ones you want-
(Corruption time, Don’t go thinking my corruptive streak has changed in the past 4 years.)
TonePad Pro- Design your own ringtones! Or fiddle around with a whole myriad of tones for fun. My phone rang today and it didn’t annoy me one bit! Say Goodbye to the Marimbas and Old Phone bells and welcome the sound of fairies (that’s what they sound like to me) into your bank of ringtones. No clipping or file converting required. I’ve been emailing them to myself from my phone, importing them into iTunes and then downloading back on to my phone. (It’s a bit of a process, but it’s painless and totally worth it. I suppose one improvement could be to have them automatically appear in the phone’s ringtone list once you’ve saved it but anyhoo!)
Hipstamatic- Changeable camera lens. Color/Contrast/Flash options. Great for anyone, not only camera whores.
Record Makers RM- Cute illustrations divided into three panels. Remember those children’s books which had pages split in 3? Mine had a divided Teddy bear so you could change his hat, clothes and shoes. This game is a little like that. There are illustrations you can flip through and match up in 3 sections. There’s no objection really, otherwise to provide cute amusement. http://app.recordmakers.com/
TypeDrawing- Create your own graphics out of streams of words. The choice of background color could be better but it’s fun nonetheless.
DoodleJump- Control a little character by moving your whole device. This little man has to jump up a whole series of platforms. If he falls off, he dies!
Scramble- For all those word game nerds like me, you’ll find scramble is a challenge more so than other games like twisty text. Which brings me on to my next favorite: Twisty Text. If you like easy games, this is one of them. It’s basically a glorified version of word jumble games. Find as many words out of a combination of letters which makes up the big word/words.
Labyrinth 3D- Move a metal ball through a wooden maze and be careful to avoid the holes in the board. Level up to challenge yourself. Complete with sound effects!
More to come later! (Probably)
Hope you’ve enjoyed hearing from me.
(If you’re listening that is)
